==Notable incidents==
In May of 2014 the CFD made headlines when one of their ladder trucks flipped over and caught fire, causing minor injuries to the four firefighters on board. An investigation later determined that the driver of the fire truck had been going in a zone and that speed had been the cause of the accident. Later that same year, in December of 2014, the department was once again in national news when another truck, from the same station, again crashed. In this case, a mechanical failure in the suspension of the truck failed causing the crash. The truck had over 12,000 engine hours at the time of the crash and according to fire chief Jon Hannan, the crash was caused "by the failure of five spring hanger bolts, which connect the frame of the truck to the axle."〔
